JANK is a goofy, insanely talented band from America’s rock capital, Philadelphia. Their album Awkward Pop Songs flew under the radar last year, but it’s seeing vinyl release this year and hopefully getting more attention this time around.

The trio plays a frantic, technical, highly melodic version of emo that seems to borrow its joie de vivre from the Unicorns and other indie-rock pranksters. Based on the Bandcamp bio “Weed is Tight,” marijuana probably has something to do with that disposition, so it’s only fitting that they’re sharing their “Caitlyn” video on 4/20. Directed by Ian Neisser with Austin LoCicero on board as director of photography, it sets an epic multi-part love song about an imaginary dog against scenes from a day smoking pot. Shane Davidson stars as the dog. Watch below.
