Last year, Julien Baker, a ferociously gifted young singer and songwriter from Tennessee, released an absolutely devastating debut album called Sprained Ankle. She's been touring behind it, and last night, she came to New York City's Bowery Ballroom. During her encore, she brought out a kindred spirit, Sharon Van Etten, who sang harmonies on the still, wrecked "Good News." They sounded great together.
