Garage rock champion Ty Segall released his damaged, psychedelic album Emotional Mugger earlier this year, and since then, he’s been on a tear, touring hard and making a string of deeply head-fucked TV appearances. This morning, he unveiled his video for “Candy Sam,” the song he played on Colbert in February. Segall directed the video himself, and it stays in keeping with the unsettling baby imagery he’s been using on the Emotional Mugger cover art and his recent TV performances. The entire video is nothing but corroded, distorted images of smiling babies’ faces. I have no idea what Segall is trying to say with this stuff, but you can watch it below.
