BADBADNOTGOOD – “Confessions Pt. II” (Feat. Colin Stetson)
Hip-hop-indebted Toronto jazz combo BADBADNOTGOOD are returning next month with new album IV. We’ve heard the funky “Speaking Gently” and the smoky “Time Moves Slow,” which features Future Islands frontman Sam Herring, and now they’ve unleashed a new collaboration with bass saxophone wizard Colin Stetson. “Confessions Pt. II” is a six-minute odyssey that ebbs and flows above Stetson’s circular sax groove, heading out into some deep head-nodding territory. Listen.
IV is out 7/8 via Innovative Leisure.
