Jesse Weiss (Palehound, Grass Is Green) and Abe Kimball (Vending Machetes) formed Spook The Herd as a reprieve from the extensive touring of their respective projects. The Boston band released their eponymous debut EP last March, and they’ve recently announced the follow-up The Small Wins EP. Their latest offering from the upcoming release is “App Tofu,” which arrives alongside a music video featuring the duo performing whilst draped in streamers through the lens of a choppy television set. The song clocks in at a little over a minute and a half, with Spook The Herd wasting no time in delivering a quick-and-dirty stream of dimly-lit guitars and damp melodies. It’s like surf-rock if the ocean was a viscous and vastly polluted swamp. Listen below.
