At least when he isn’t talking about wine, the Tool/A Perfect Circle/Puscifer frontman Maynard James Keenan has always maintained a certain enigmatic distance. But he’ll shed at least some of that this fall when he publishes his “authorized biography” A Perfect Union Of Contrary Things, which was written by his longtime friend Sarah Jensen. It honestly looks more like a memoir, except with the ghostwriter getting credit, and it will touch on things like Keenan’s stint in the Army and his time in art school. A Perfect Union Of Contrary Things is out 11/8, which means it will almost certainly arrive before the next Tool album. Is it just me, or is that trailer a whole lot like Amber Waves’ Dirk Diggler documentary?
