Ménage À Trois – “South Seas” (Stereogum Premiere)
Mancunian synthsmiths Ménage À Trois make some super silky dance electro grooves. They’re gearing up to drop their debut album next year, and have offered an early taste as smooth as peanut butter in the lead single “South Seas.” A funky bassline drives the track surrounding by layers of bright, airy synths and swooshing atmospheric sweeps painting a breezy summer portrait traveling the world: “I wanna be cruisin’ the south seas/ with my baby next to me.” You can almost feel the summer aromas of saltwater and sunscreen rush your senses as the details are cooed beautifully on the irresistibly catchy melody of the hook. This is definitely a must for the beach playlist. Listen.
Ménage À Trois’ debut full-length will be out some time next year via Cracki Records.
