Watch Gucci Mane’s Harmony Korine-Directed Supreme Ad
In one of the more bizarre and beautiful pop-culture moments of recent years, Gummo/Julien Donkey-Boy auteur Harmony Korine cast Gucci Mane as the villain of his freaked-out 2013 Florida fantasia Spring Breakers, claiming in interviews that Gucci had been the only person he’d considered for the role. After Spring Breakers, Korine and Gucci stayed close; the two had their picture taken together when Korine visited Gucci in prison not that long ago. Gucci has been home for prison for about a month and a half, and he’s already got a new album ready for release. He’s also the star of a brand-new commercial for the clothing line Supreme, and Korine directed it. Korine shot the commercial at Gucci’s mansion, the same place where Gucci’s “First Day Out The Feds” video was set. And in the clip, Gucci dances, plays piano, and brags about not needing to go shopping and about having 30 kids. Watch it below, via Pitchfork.
Does Gucci really have 30 kids? Google has proven unhelpful.
