Naps Announce Breakup
We named Naps one of the best new bands of 2015 on the strength of their debut EP You Will Live In A Cool Box, but sadly, it looks like the Tallahassee four-piece will soon be calling it a day. The band announced the news via Facebook, writing:
Dear friends,
As a lot of you know, Katryn will be moving to Philadelphia in September. This is not easy for us to write, but Naps has mutually decided that after three wonderful years, we are going to be ending the project. Meeting so many great people and playing shows in Tallahassee and elsewhere has been a life changing experience for all of us and we really appreciate the support that you guys have given us throughout our existence.
We have two shows coming up this month (7/17 and 7/27 at The Shark Tank) and we are currently planning a farewell show in late August. We will be selling tapes for The Most Beautiful Place On Earth at those shows, and the proceeds will be donated to RAINN (R*pe, Abuse, and Incest National Network).
Thank you to everyone so much who has been with us through this journey and who has supported us in any capacity. We love you all so much.

So please, revisit their most recent release The Most Beautiful Place On Earth and pour out a Mang-O-Rita in their honor tonight.
