ScotDrakula – “Disintegrator”
Melbourne’s ScotDrakula are gearing up for the follow up to their solid self-titled 2014 debut. We’ve already posted “Skeleton Fever,” and today they share “Disintegrator.” It’s a fuzzed-out, twangy affair about wanting to numb yourself to feelings when you think you can go no lower. The garage vibes are strong with the driving jangle of the guitar accented with a rhythmic tambourine and syncopated drums all muted but still calamitous, adding a palpable urgency to the vulnerable plea of the repeated refrain “Disintegrator, disintegrate me.” Listen.
