More Than 42 People Injured In Railing Collapse At Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa Concert
Over 42 people were injured at Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa’s outdoor concert in Camden, New Jersey’s BB&T Pavilion last night when the security barrier separating the front row of concertgoers from the stage collapsed, causing dozens to fall several feet to the concrete below. NBC News reports that the railing came down at around 10PM, about halfway through the show, after both rappers urged the crowd to “get up.” The show ended immediately, and injured fans were transported to several local hospitals via a mass casualty bus and ambulances. According to Camden police spokesman Dan Keashen, most of the injuries sustained were relatively minor bumps, bruises, and broken bones. One attendee was taken to the Cooper Trauma Center in critical but stable condition. Organizers say that tonight’s show at the venue featuring Salt N Pepa, Bryan Adams, and Vanilla Ice will still go ahead as scheduled.
