A new musical about the personal and professional relationship between Pat Benatar and her lead guitarist (and eventual husband) Neil Giraldo is currently in development, as Deadline reports. It's meant to be in the vein of music-themed musicals like Jersey Boys and Rock Of Ages (and ideally replicate their success), and will presumably include the hits like "Hit Me With Your Best Shot," "Love Is A Battlefield," "We Belong," and her many others. The book for the production will be written by Gary Lennon (who has written for Orange Is The New Black, Power, and The Shield) and will be produced by Jamie Cesa (Pippin). It's slated to debut on Broadway in 2017.
