Joey Bada$$ – “Devastated” Video
Joey Bada$$ steps out of the ’90s every now and then, and he did just that with the lightweight trap sound of “Devastated.” He premiered the video for the song in six different locations around NYC yesterday on a short bus tour, and today he dropped it into Pro Era’s YouTube channel. Bada$$ co-directed the clip along with Shomi Patwary, and it features the Badmon sporting a fly Pro Era letterman on a football field with fans, friends, and PE crew members in the bleachers cheering him on. Then, he and the crowd move to Brooklyn streets for a low-key parade before they celebrate in an empty lot. It’s a fitting victory lap for a triumphant song and an artist who has come a long way from Flatbush without signing to a major. Watch.
