Sharks’ Teeth – “It’s Bad For You” Video
Synthed-out New Orleans quartet Sharks’ Teeth are gearing up for the release of It Transfers & Grows, their 17th(!) album. We premiered lead single “Don’t Touch My Feet” last month, and now they’ve shared another new track, “It’s Bad For You.” Aside from some unintelligible vocoder vocals, it’s an instrumental psychedelic robo-funk jam, and the accompanying video, directed by Devin Hildebrand, follows the story of a man trying to remove the many, many layers of clothing he’s wearing while being pelted with silly string, dollar bills, and other objects. “The inspiration for the video was a dream I had,” Devin Hildebrand told PureVolume, where the clip premiered. “I dreamt I was watching someone strip off endless layers of clothing while walking forward and glitching in rhythm to this song. I woke up and texted Tyler immediately and we made it happen shortly after.” Both the song and the video are a whole lot of fun, and you can check them out below.
It Transfers & Grows is out 9/2 via Gigantic Noise (vinyl) and Community Records (cassette). Pre-order it physical and digital formats.
