MONO – “Ely’s Heartbeat”
Japanese post-rock stalwarts MONO are nearing two decades of making lush, slow-building soundscapes more akin to orchestral movements than rock. They’re set to drop their latest album, Requiem For Hell, this fall. The lead single is “Ely’s Heartbeat” and it’s more of the polished, glacially-paced rock operatics that we’re used to from them. It’s truly a grand, gorgeous eight minutes of sound with sections that melt in and and out of each other. Listen.
Requiem For Hell is out 10/14 via Temporary Residence. Pre-order it here.
