Watch Bonnie Raitt Cover INXS On Kimmel
Bonnie Raitt and INXS are two ’80s pop heavyweights who aren’t always given their due these days, and last night, they came together on the outdoor festival stage at Jimmy Kimmel Live. On her new album Dig In Deep, Raitt covers the single best INXS song, the thirst anthem “Need You Tonight,” reimagining its breathy and skeletal funk-pop as swaggering blues-rock. And on Kimmel last night, she came off smooth and authoritative, bringing an effortelss cool to her cover and giving herself, and the members of her weathered band, time to play some solos over that groove. You could learn a lot from watching this performance. Do that below.
Dig In Deep is out now on Redwing Records.
