Zayn Cancels Another Concert Due To Anxiety
Zayn Malik has cancelled another concert due to anxiety. Earlier this year, the former One Directioner pulled out of a festival in London citing “the worst anxiety of my career” surrounding his live solo performance, and today the singer has cancelled a concert that was scheduled for 10/7 in Dubai, as Reuters points out. “I have been working over the last three months to overcome my extreme anxiety around major live solo performances,” Malik said in a post on the concert promoter’s website. “I feel I am making progress but I have today acknowledged that I do not feel sufficiently confident to move forward with the planned show in Dubai in October.”
Zayn Mailk released his debut solo album, Mind Of Mine, earlier this year. He’s performed live sparingly since launching his solo career, primarily during late-night and award show performances.
Selena Gomez also recently cancelled some tour dates after experiencing “anxiety, panic attacks and depression” as a result of her lupus, and Fifth Harmony’s Camila Cabello left a concert midway through this past weekend after “having too much anxiety.”
