Johnny Depp To Star In Biggie/Tupac Thriller Labyrinth
Johnny Depp has been tapped to star in the upcoming film Labyrinth, according to The Hollywood Reporter. It’s not a remake of the 1986 Bowie-starring, Jim Henson-directed cult classic (thank god), but instead an adaptation of the book LAbyrinth: A Detective Investigates The Murders of Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G., The Implication Of Death Row Records’ Suge Knight, And The Origins Of The Los Angeles Police Scandal, which, as you might surmise from that overly descriptive title, is about the murders of Biggie and Tupac. Depp will play Russell Poole, the LA detective who investigated both of their murders. The film will be directed by Brad Furman, and the script was written by Christian Contreras.
