Peaer – “Third Law”
On “Third Law,” the second single from Peaer’s upcoming new album, Peter Katz deconstructs Newton’s law of motion in detached language that still sounds painfully human: “I have been told that in order to enact force upon an object, you have to come into contact,” he sings. “You have to understand its context/ You have to really fucking want it to fall on the carpet and have someone else come clean it.” He’s contemplating the effects of his existence on the world around him in specific and pointed terminology, examining his life’s trajectory as a simple cause-and-effect. “In motion but still stagnant,” he surmises. The instrumentation pools around him like a bloodrush, dropping in and out with a wheeze. Listen via Post-Trash below.
