Grandaddy – “Way We Won’t” & “Clear Your History”
The searching, psychedelic California band Grandaddy broke up in 2006, but they’ve lately been active again, playing shows and recording new music. And today, we get to hear a little bit of that music. The band has released a new two-song single, and its two tracks are the band’s first new releases since 2006. Of those two songs, “Way We Won’t” is a starry-eyed, lightly chugging rocker, and “Clear Your History” is a short, elegant stately ballad. Both of them concern the same sort of overwhelmed-by-technology feeling that Grandaddy played around with for years. You can hear both of the new songs below.
The “Way We Won’t” b/w “Clear Your History” single is out now at iTunes. The band has also inked a deal with Danger Mouse’s label 30th Century Records, so we can hopefully expect more new music soon.
