Danzig Says The Misfits Reunion Is Over, Despite What Jerry Only Thinks
The Misfits’ Glenn Danzig and Jerry Only recently resolved their well-publicized differences long enough to play a couple of reunion shows at Riot Fest Denver and Chicago. In an interview with Rolling Stone from a few weeks ago, Only seemed pretty excited about the reunion, hoping to keep it going with shows in New York, LA, and Europe, and possibly even a new album. “I want it to continue,” he said. “I know Doyle wants it to continue. I know Glenn wants it to continue. We just have to be big enough people to make it continue. And that’s where we’re at. Whatever it takes.”
But it seems that Danzig may not share his ardor. In a new interview with The New York Times, Danzig insists that there will be no more reunion shows. And this is all he has to say on the subject of a new album: “If there’s going to be another Misfits record, I’d probably have to write the stuff. And I’ve got a full plate, so I don’t know.”
Come on, guys. Relationships are all about communication!
