Tacocat – “The Internet” Video
Seattle punks Tacocat combined two things that would blow up on the internet when they formed eight years ago. It was probably just a coincidence, but if you’ve heard their latest album Lost Time you probably can’t be sure. They pass off sharp-tongued, astute commentary through a deadpan, nonchalant delivery buried in fuzz, but it definitely must be reckoned with.
One of the standout tracks on the album was “The Internet.” They came with some slyly scathing commentary about the interwebs, and today the track receives an equally witty video from Faye Orlove. It’s essentially a lyric video, but it cleverly walks you through the all the forms of the internet and many of the technological developments that have occurred since its nascent stages. Check it out.
