The legendary Roots crew have over two decades strong in the game, and they're still at it. It's a shame that some people only know them as "Jimmy Fallon's band" because they've got some classic albums under their belt. They're revisiting one of those gems, IlladelphHalflife, on their 17th studio album, End Game, according to Questlove's Instagram account. The drummer, author, and music aficionado shared footage of a studio session in a post and added in the caption: "In 1996 w[ith] our 3rd album #IlladelphHalflife we decided to be our own sampling source and jam in the day and sample ourselves at night. 20 years later we are working on our 17th album entitled #Endgame....& we startin all over again."

Today, Quest has posted another studio clip with a super-funky beat playing in the background, so it seems things are in full swing for the new album.

There's no timeframe for End Game, but the Roots usually come correct, so we'll stay tuned.
