Watch Flatbush Zombies Rage Through Two Songs On Kimmel
The cranked-up Brooklyn underground rap trio Flatbush Zombies are way more popular than you might expect. As it turns out, they’re big enough to play the massive outdoor stage at Jimmy Kimmel Live before a very, very excited crowd. That’s what they did last night, when they were musical guests on the show. With the band Rhythm Roots Allstars playing behind them, they ripped through two songs from 3001: A Laced Odyssey, the album they released earlier this year. On the show proper, they did “Trade-Off,” and they also did “Bounce” as an online exclusive. And they showed ridiculous energy-levels, leaping in the crowd and careening around the stage without ever stumbling in their rapping. It’s a hell of a performance, and you can watch it below.
3001: A Laced Odyssey is out now on the group’s own Glorious Dead Recordings.
