AFI – “Snow Cats” & “White Offerings”
Theatrical goth-punk veterans AFI, a band I saw in a Baltimore garage 20 years ago, haven’t released an album since 2013’s Burials. But early next year, they’ll return with their 10th studio LP AFI (The Blood Album). Guitarist Jade Puget produced the album, and Deftones/Slayer collaborator Matt Hyde co-produced it. The band has just shared two new songs, the gleaming and crunching arena howler “Snow Cats” and “White Offering,” a hard and cathartic banger. (There’s no word on what’s up with that album that AFI frontman Davey Havok reportedly recorded with the non-Gwen Stefani members of No Doubt, but a new AFI album is better than that anyway.) Below, check out the two new songs.
AFI (The Blood Album) is out 1/20/17 on Concord.
