Watch Arcade Fire Lead Voodoo Crowd In A Chant That’ll Be Sampled On LP5
Arcade Fire did a lot this past weekend. They debuted new music at a secret show in New Orleans the night before their headlining set at the Voodoo Music + Arts Experience. At the secret show all phones were confiscated at the door, but some video from Voodoo has provided a small sneak peek of LP5.
Win Butler led the festival audience in a chant that the band will apparently sample on their next record, which has been described as “dynamic, danceable rock” with “a sharp focus on heavy topics but percussive-heavy beats and a flavor of disco.” Seems like some good old na-na-na’s would fit into that aesthetic really well. Hear the chant below, and imagine how you think it’ll fit on the album.
The sample Arcade Fire apparently plan to use on #AF5.
