Bash & Pop – “On The Rocks”
Not long after the Replacements first broke up in 1991, bassist Tommy Stinson put together the good-time rock ‘n’ roll band Bash & Pop, who released one album, Friday Night Is Killing Me, in 1993. Earlier this year, Stinson decided to revive the project, putting together a new version of Bash & Pop and getting ready to record a new album called Anything Could Happen. Today, we hear our first taste of it: “On The Rocks,” an old-school rave-up of a guitar-rocker made with considerably more piss and/or vinegar than we could reasonably expect from someone who’s been in the game as long as Stinson. Check it out below.
Anything Could Happen is out 1/20/17 on Fat Possum.
