Live Reunite With Ed Kowalczyk
Live had a two-year hiatus that turned into a more permanent breakup in 2009 after a mixed cocktail of lawsuits and backhanded business deals proved too hard to swallow. Frontman Ed Kowalczyk went solo, and the three other members of the quartet went on to form other bands and then eventually reformed Live without Kowalcyzk to release The Turn in 2014. Speculation of Kowalczyk’s return began when he joined Live member Chad Taylor on a radio interview last month, marking the first time any member of the band had reunited with the former frontman publicly.
As Alternative Nation points out, the band’s reunion appears to have been confirmed by Kowalcyzk, who updated his Facebook profile photo which now sports a Live logo (above), uploading another photo including the text “Ed Kowalczyk of Live” (below), and sharing a third photo of the original band from back in the day (below). He also updated his “About” section with the title “Lead Singer/Writer” of Live. So maybe we can expect some shows and music from Live in the near future…
