Watch Bono, Halsey, DJ Khaled, & The Killers Sing About Being Rich And Going To Hell On Jimmy Kimmel
Last night, Jimmy Kimmel aired his second-annual (RED) special, corralling a massive cast of celebrities to help out with AIDS awareness. And as part of the show, Kimmel led a big all-celebrity singalong of a bleakly funny song called “We’re Going To Hell” — the point, pretty much, being that celebrities need causes like AIDS awareness to assuage their own guilt when they’re otherwise living in unfathomable luxury. Many of the song’s singers were famous actors of one stripe or another: Kristen Bell, Channing Tatum, Julia Roberts, Neil Patrick Harris. But there were music figures up there, too: the Killers, Halsey, DJ Khaled. (It’s pretty funny that Khaled, who at least theoretically is a musician, was easily the worst singer on that stage.) Toward the end, Bono shows up in his ’90s-vintage MacPhisto character. Watch the big singalong below.
It’s hard to say why, exactly, but the tapdancing-on-carpet bit was easily the best part of that whole thing.
