Unsurprisingly Bob Dylan Was A No-Show At Today’s White House Event For Nobel Prize Winners
Bob Dylan has been skirting the responsibilities of decorum surrounding his Nobel Prize For Literature award. Though he eventually did accept it after being really weird about the honor, The Washington Post has learned that the musician didn’t attend a private meeting that was set to take place today between all of this year’s Nobel Prize recipients and President Obama.
He’s also not attending the official ceremony in Sweden in December, but in order to collect the $900,000 cash prize that comes along with the award, he’ll have to give a Nobel Lecture sometime between now and June, which he’s still expected to do because who would turn down almost a cool million dollars?
