Vienna-based producer Sohn is gearing up to drop Rennen, the followup his 2014 debut Tremors, early next year. We’ve already heard the lead single “Signal” and the followup “Conrad.” Today he shares the tender title track. In a switch from anything in his catalog, the song is a raw piano ballad with synth passes and classical flourishes that ebb and flow throughout. Vulnerable laments like “release me, my bones feel like stone” are piercing enveloped and lifted by the surround songs, making for a gorgeously melancholy voyage. Listen.
