Yasiin Bey, formerly known as Mos Def, has had an interesting past few months. He was finally allowed to leave South Africa after a passport incident got him arrested at the Capetown International Airport. He announced his retirement and a string of farewell shows shortly after, and then announced he would come with three more albums before his retirement. We’ve already heard “N.A.W.“, the lead single from the first of those three albums, December 99th (named after his duo with Chicago producer Ferrari Sheppard).
