Watch Whitney Make Their TV Debut On Colbert
The blissed-out, supremely mellow Chicago indie duo Whitney are one of the most talked-about new bands of the past year or so, and last night, they got a chance to make their TV debut on Stephen Colbert’s Late Show. Even though they’re nominally a duo, Whitney brought a whole lot of friends to Colbert, playing as a seven-piece and working up a jammy twinkle on their single “Golden Days.” They also gave us the rare televised spectacle of a singing drummer; I can’t remember the last time I saw one of those. Watch the performance below.
Whitney’s debut album Light Upon The Lake is out now on Secretly Canadian. This Saturday 1/7 they will perform on CBS This Morning.
