Katy Perry – “Chained To The Rhythm” (Feat. Skip Marley) Video
A little while ago, Katy Perry shared her new single “Chained To The Rhythm,” which she co-wrote with Sia and which Max Martin produced. Then she sang the song live for the first time in an elaborate Grammys performance. And today, the song gets its grand, cinematic video. Matthew Cullen, who directed her “California Gurls” and “Dark Horse” videos, returns, and this one is absurd and plasticy as those ones. This time, though, there’s a sort of Twilight Zone darkness to it. In the clip, Perry checks out a sort of retro-futuristic theme park — one that combines ’50s ideals and aesthetics with emojis, basically — and slowly realizes that things there are not quite right. Check it out below.
“Chained To The Rhythm” is out now at iTunes.
