Scarlet Pleasure – “Deja-vu”
Copenhagen’s Scarlet Pleasure have shared a sleek and enticing new track called “Deja-Vu.” The velvet vocals of lead singer Emil Goll are in the same vein as the Weeknd, which makes sense considering the group is mining similar ’80s pop inspirations. “Lone nights on my Vespa,” Goll snarls as the hypnotic beat reworks itself leading up to the chorus, simulating the urgent and entrancing feeling the song is named after. Blunt guitars and warped synthesizers create a lush background, a perfect tone for the dance club. It’s mischievously catchy. No really, you gotta listen below right now.
“Deja-Vu” is available 3/17 via Copenhagen Records. Purchase it here.
