Britney Spears is slated to perform in Israel for the first time on 7/3 at Tel Aviv's Hayarkon Park. And as it turns out, this concert is such a big deal that it takes precedent over the Israeli Labor Party's hotly-contested primary, which pushed back their election originally scheduled for the same day to 7/4. The party's elections committee cite their decision was based on concerns over heavy traffic due to an influx of concert goers making it difficult for voters to reach polling stations, on top of lacking available security guards available to work both events according to the Times Of Israel. It's probably the right call, since Britney Spears is undoubtedly more popular than the democratic process these days.
