For good and obvious reasons, the big rap story today is Kendrick Lamar’s new album DAMN. In fact, the album might be the big rap story for this year. So it takes a brave rapper to release any new music today, on a day when Kendrick is sucking up all the oxygen in the room. Lil Yachty, whatever you may think of him, is a brave rapper. He’s chosen this morning to release two singles from his forthcoming album Teenage Emotions. “Harley” is the sort of dinky kid-friendly melody that made Yachty famous in the first place. Meanwhile, “Peek A Boo” is a snarling shit-talk session that features Yachty’s Atlanta comrades Migos, as well as Yachty attempting his own version of the Migos flow. Check out the two songs below.
