Earlier this week, Jerry Seinfeld denied Kesha a hug during a red carpet interview because he didn't know who she was. Some people thought the interaction was mean, other people thought it was funny, and a lot of people (myself included) blogged about it. Today, Seinfeld offers up an explanation as to why he denied Kesha this coveted hug. "I’m 63, I don’t know every pop star… I don’t know everyone," he said in an interview with Extra. "I was right in the middle of an interview, it was a little off... When you get to be my age and you've done a couple things, you have your own reality, in my reality... I don't hug a total stranger." Seinfeld also said that he spoke to Kesha off camera and the two laughed it off. However, he still did not hug her. Check out Seinfeld's new interview and footage of the incident below.
