Dayo Bello is a 19-year-old Londoner who went to the same music college responsible for the likes of Adele, Amy Winehouse, King Krule, and many more, and he has a voice to match that high pedigree. “Mine” is his new song that’s already gotten some notable co-signs, and it’s piece of stately minimalism with Bello’s voice soaring and looping over a single watery guitar line. “‘Mine’ is a song I wrote about a journey I and my partner took while going through a rough part of our relationship,” he told Complex. “It’s a song that explores the feeling of believing a relationship is over despite the fact that you don’t want it to be.
