Neil Young – “Hitchhiker” (Acoustic Version)

In August 1976, Neil Young recorded a solo acoustic album called Hitchhiker in a single session at Malibu's Indigo Ranch Studios. Although most of the 10 tracks -- including the title track, which was included on Young's 2010 LP Le Noise -- eventually saw the light of day in some form, the album itself never came out. But now, over 40 years later, Hitchhiker is finally being released, featuring new post-production from Young's recent producer John Hanlon. The long-lost collection, including the previously unreleased songs "Hawaii" and "Give Me Strength," will be out 9/8, and you can hear the new solo acoustic version of the title track below.

Hitchhiker is out 9/8.
