If you’ve ever seen Metallica live, you know that drummer Lars Ulrich is the weak link. He’s still a monster, of course, but within the context of a legendarily tight band, he can get a little loose and sloppy. So it was fun to see, however briefly, Metallica replacing him with a little kid. As Metal Injection points out, Metallica played Detroit’s Comerica Park last week. And for a few blessed seconds, Ulrich got up from his drum stool and allowed an adorable kid named Kendalynn to take over. She didn’t really get to play during a song, but it was still something.
