Butthole Surfers Recording Their First Album In 16 Years
Butthole Surfers are heading into the studio to record their first new album in 16 years. The news was revealed during an Austin Music Commission meeting by veteran engineer and producer Stuart Sullivan, The Austin Chronicle reports, and the band’s own Paul Leary confirmed that some new material is indeed on the way. This will be Butthole Surfers’ ninth studio album and their first since 2001’s Weird Revolution; the band last performed at Houston’s Day For Night festival last December.
