“Seriously Ill” Charli XCX Apologizes For Canceling Summer Sonic
Charli XCX has always held a special place in her heart for Japan. She filmed her great “SuperLove” video in Toyko and collaborated with J-pop stars Yasutaka Nakata and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu on the track “Crazy Crazy.” And this past weekend, she was slated to perform at the Summer Sonic festivals in Tokyo and Osaka, where she was planning to perform with Nakata and Pamyu Pamyu. But because of “really bad tonsillitis and fever,” Charli has to cancel both shows, explaining on Instagram that she “passed out when going through security in Beijing.” Below, check out Charli’s hearbroken Instagram note to fans in Japan:
