Right now, just as it was in the early ’80s, Washington, DC has one of the best hardcore scenes going. And one of the best bands on that scene is Red Death, the retro-thrash destroyers who released the absolutely furious debut album Permanent Exile in 2015. Later this year, they’ll follow it up with the new LP Formidable Darkness. The album-opening title track is a hard, fast, riff-driven chug, and there is a very good chance that it will make you want to put your fist through a wall. Listen to it below.
