Tame Impala's debut album InnerSpeaker came out 10 years ago today. We published a whole article about it! And now Kevin Parker has shared his own retrospective.

On Instagram, Parker posted alternate artwork for the album that was ultimately switched out. He writes that "it makes me very emotional to just look at because it reminds me of what I was going through about a week out from finishing and signing off on the whole album, which scared the shit out of me and at the time seemed like an insurmountable task. Little did I know that was the easiest it was ever going to get." He also gives a shout to Tim Holmes of Death In Vegas, who helped to engineer InnerSpeaker, as well as others who supported him early on: "Thank you to everyone who believed in me back then, you know who you are. And thank you Tim Holmes where ever you are, you saved this album in a way my naive self didn’t realise at the time."
The message ends with an enticing promise: "Announcement of something very special coming v soon." What could it be? Any ideas? Check out Parker's post with the alternate artwork below.
