Watch A. G. Cook’s Appleville Livestream With Charli XCX, 100 gecs, Clairo, & More
A. G. Cook is about to release the new album Apple, his second album in as many months. And tonight, he’s hosting a livestreamed virtual festival called Appleville, featuring performances from himself alongside friends and kindred spirits like Charli XCX, 100 gecs, Clairo, Kero Kero Bonito, Amnesia Scanner, Hannah Diamond, Palmistry, and more.
Appleville is intended as “a tribute to live computer music in all its forms,” Cook says in a statement. “A pastoral escape in the comfort of your own home, an infinite green field where you can sit back and watch some of your favourite musicians grapple with the limitations of time & space.”
The event is free to observe, but a Golden Ticket purchased on Bandcamp will give you access to the virtual moshpit along with select recordings from the concert and other exclusive music. All proceeds will go to Mermaids and the Black Cultural Archives. Watch here or below starting at 5PM ET.
