6ix9ine Facing Lawsuit Over Underage Sexual Videos
Before he became a famous rapper and troll-like provocateur or testified against the same gang members whose affiliation he exploited for fame, Daniel Hernandez, the rapper known as Tekashi 6ix9ine, pled guilty to uploading videos of himself performing sexual acts with a 13-year-old girl in 2015, when he was 18. Although he managed to avoid registering as a sex offender, the incident’s consequences are still unfolding. The charity No Kid Hungry recently turned down a $2 million donation from 6ix9ine, citing concerns about being publicly associated with the guy. And now he’s facing a lawsuit over the initial explicit video.
A woman identified as Jane Doe, who claims to be the subject of the video, is suing 6ix9ine for allegedly abusing her at the party where the footage was captured, TMZ reports. Jane Doe claims that aside from being underage, she was under the influence of drugs and alcohol and unable to consent to sexual activity as 6ix9ine and Tay Milly filmed her. She’s suing both men for child sexual assault, child sexual abuse, and infliction of emotional distress.
6ix9ine’s attorney Lance Lazzaro told TMZ that the rapper will “defend the lawsuit vigorously.” In a recent New York Times interview, 6ix9ine discussed the incident with an a posture most would not describe as remorseful: “I was 18 at the time. Am I this 40-year-old Jeffrey Epstein type?”
