Tory Lanez Pleads Not Guilty In Megan Thee Stallion Shooting
Tory Lanez has pled not guilty in the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion. Last month, Lanez — real name Daystar Peterson — was charged with assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. The Canadian rapper’s plea was entered on his behalf by his lawyer Shawn Holley on Wednesday in a court in Los Angeles, where the shooting occurred.
Lanez has already been ordered by a judge to stay away from Megan Thee Stallion and surrender all firearms. A couple days ago, Megan Thee Stallion claimed that Lanez offered her money to stay quiet after the shooting.
Lanez faces up to 22 years and 8 months in prison if convicted as charged.
