Beck's evil scheme to entice consumers into buying his record includes offering a bonus DVD of home-made videos for each of The Information's fifteen tracks, and a bunch of stickers so fans can personalize the record's cover. Although not DVD quality, you can grab those vids over at Shots Ring Out, each presented in downloadable, iPod-friendly Quicktime format.
And while we can all agree that videos are harmless good fun, the British charts are having none of those stickers. The LA Times reports that England has disqualified Beck's latest "from appearing on sales charts because those extras give it an 'unfair advantage' over less elaborate packages."
Beck's response: "Any art on a CD is an incentive to buy and listen." Which is a solid argument, unless you're a John Bult fan.
