Canyons is the duo of Ryan Grieve and Leo Thomson, Modular people who released the "My Rescue" single (and Tame Impala remix) on the Australian label last year and are prepping a full length for this fall. The first listen you're getting from it is here in the form of it's first two tracks -- "Circadia" into "Under A Blue Sky" -- and it sounds like what would have happened if that sax scene from Lost Boys swapped the beefcake with the ponytail and greasy torso for Arthur Russel in post-disco mode, plus some astral synths and elephant noises(?). It's dance music, clearly.
